In a region steeped in lumber history, we are blessed with an abundance of white cedar and a collective pride in what it can become. Our 20,000 sq ft facility in Tweed, Ontario, once a thriving steel foundry, has been reborn — this time with the aim of producing a consistent quality of charred wood, as well as providing an exceptional experience for each customer.

We prioritize our clients' design preferences, collaborating with them to provide tailored recommendations that align with their specific applications, performance expectations, and budget constraints. Clients can choose from our existing range of products and mill profiles, or collaborate with our team to create customized solutions involving colour matching, texturing, charring, and milling. Regardless of a project’s size, we always strive to deliver cost-effective solutions, and can be counted on to assist in evaluating specific project details and providing guidance on installation.

We ensure that our quotes encompass all the essential product details required to incorporate Blackwood into your project’s specifications. If you have any questions while drafting your specifications, our team is always available to provide assistance to get every detail realized. We work closely with our mill and trusted suppliers to provide our clients with all the technical information required to satisfy their projects' specifications.

Once we have a contract in place, Blackwood can deliver in 6-12 weeks. We work closely with our builder partners and clients to ensure clarity throughout the process.

We take pride in our comprehensive in-house manufacturing process at our facility. We handle every stage of production from log to finished product, from rough lumber planks through to finished cladding that is ready for installation. This integrated approach enables us to operate with agility, facilitate smooth communication, and consistently deliver world-class results. We are meticulous in our selection of suppliers who adhere to the highest standards and provide us with top-notch raw materials. Throughout the manufacturing process — including milling, charring, texturing, and finishing — our products undergo rigorous quality control checks to ensure exceptional standards. Upon completion, your cladding and millwork are carefully wrapped to protect your material during transportation.
